The latest rumors about Apple’s upcoming iTunes 9 suggests the ever-popular media player may be integrating with social media sites.
According to afterdrawn.com, iTunes 9 will have you sharing your music and movies to people on Facebook, Twitter and Last.FM. The exact nature of what this means is yet to be announced. iTunes would become the latest of many big name programs to integrate these social networks into their software, showing their increasing importance in the modern world.
Other improvements to the media player include blu-ray support and iPhone/iPod Touch App management. An example of the latter can be seen in this mock up video below.
These new additions (if they do indeed happen) sound like a great improvements to an already complete media managing program. The integration with Twitter etc certainly interests me.
These new features are still just rumor and their existence and release date for iTunes 9 is yet to be released.
